The arts in its broadest sense has been of equal, if not more importance in the Youth Charter's work over the last decades an important vehicle of expression, the artistic appeal of engaging, motivating and inspiring social and cultural confidence within the young people and communities we have worked with has provided an invaluable number of interventions at all levels of youth social inclusion and community regeneration.

Carbonwise

Global warming is now one of the major issues facing our communities and societies locally, nationally and globally. The future impact that will be felt by generations to come needs to be addresses by the generations of today. 'Carbonwise' will creat awareness and discussion that will lead to action being taken to improve the environment and life chances of future citizens.

Conflictwise

The key to conflict resolution is presenting a positive individual or collective response to an aggressive situation.

Ignorance, fear, aggression and ultimately, violence are a result of miseducation and lack of understanding. The Conflictwise worksheets provide the tools to promote greater understanding, create and environment which is safe and a society in which equality of life is enjoyed by all.

Rugbywise, with the Rugby Football Union

The Youth Charter's work over the last 12 years has included the social coach training and development of the RFU's Rugby Development Officers (RDOs), providing them with the tools to re-enter the inner city communities. This has complemented the social inclusion projects and provided us with invaluable knowledge and experience that has now seen the all-important link made with rugby's grass root development and wider community programmes.

Soccerwise

Soccerwise helps young students towards a greater sense of rights, responsibilities and more importantly, how they can translate them into real life experiences. It also helps them develop improved educational attainment, social skills and vocational opportunities benefiting both the individual and the wider community.

Youthwise 2 Work

Youthwise 2 Work is a programme esigned to help young people to get back into education, training and employment. The programme is designed to be a pathway to employment by supporting the individual and assisting them to grow in confidence through achieving the goals set for them. It is based upon behaviour and performance principles with tranferable life skills and benfits.
