A sick act which has left the widow of former Joy Division frontman, Ian Curtis in shock as his tombstone was stolen from his grave. The stone had the words ‘Ian Curtis 18-5-80 and the lyrics ‘Love Will ear Us Apart’ printed on it was stolen from Macclesfield Cemetery. The stone was extremely heavy and someone will have gone to extreme lengths to remove it. Thousands of people have travelled to the cemetery to pay their respects over the years since his death in 1980. Cheshire police are investigating.
Manchester City is no longer in the run to sigh up Samuel Eto’o as Barcelona appears to have snapped him up! A loss for City!
Boxing promoter Frank Warren is upset and believes that someone is trying to wreck Amir Khan’s world title fight against Andreas Kotelnik at the weekend. Posters advertising the fight around Manchester and Lancashire have been defaced with stickers posted over them saying ‘cancelled’. However, fans have since been reassured that there is nothing wrong with the fighters and the fight will go on!!!
