The Sign Up 4 Youth Campaign is part of the ongoing lobbying efforts of the Youth Charter to highlight the need for a more coordinated approach to policy resources and commitment by Government.

The Sign Up 4 Youth Manifesto calls for:
A Royal Commission for youth - this would demonstrate the Governments seriousness on the issues of youth needs at all levels of society. |

A Minister for Youth with a Ministry for Youth, Culture, Sport, Arts and Social Affairs. This would provide a truly effective department that would drive forward Government policy initiatives as well as a seat around the cabinet table. |

A public youth appointment on all regional public bodies i.e. Regional Development Agencies, Cultural Boards, Sports Boards, local strategic partnerships etc. These appointments would ensure that a youth voice is contributing at the heart of the local/regional decision process. |

A National Youth Council representative of existing youth councils around the country. Similar to an all party select committee, this group would have the ability to meet, engage and represent youth interests with direct access to ministers responsible for youth policy and delivery. |

A Youth Task Force to be established. This would represent the key agencies and individuals currently at the forefront of youth provision and delivery in this country. The Task Force would report directly to No. 10, with Prime Ministerial / inter- ministerial responsibility forming part of the Prime Ministerial monthly briefings. |

The Sign Up 4 Youth campaign is a serious attempt to achieve serious results in moving forward the youth agenda in this country. If you agree, would like to support or even suggest other ideas, that could be added to this manifesto, please 'sign up' and 'sign in'. We will be presenting the outcome of this campaign to the respective political parties during next year's election.
